Managing FTA Public Transportation Innovation, Technical Assistance and Workforce Development Awards
The Office of Research, Demonstration and Innovation supports high-quality research results and the administration of awards for activities funded through the following programs, authorized in Federal public transportation law:
- Public Transportation Innovation (49 U.S.C. § 5312)
- Technical Assistance and Workforce Development (49 U.S.C. § 5314)
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law reauthorizes FTA programs for five years and authorizes up to $108 billion for public transportation. FTA Program Fact Sheets provide information on how the legislation supports public transit programs.
