Importing an Inventory

• Using the “Import Inventory Publisher” feature may cause any open Excel files (saved or unsaved) to disappear from the desktop.  
  • Unsaved data can be saved after this happens by opening a new Excel workbook and then closing that workbook which will open a prompt asking if you wish to save the previously disappeared workbook with unsaved data. You will not get this prompt for workbooks that did not have unsaved data or changes.

Running the Model

• The following asset types can exceed a condition of 5.0 when rehabbed (under certain conditions).
  • Guideway Elements | Guideway (10000)
  • Stations | Access | Parking | Lot (41602)
  • Stations | Access | Parking | Park & Ride (41603)
  • Stations | Access | Roadway Access (41650)

Data Outputs & Reports

• TERM Lite does not calculate total cost for rows that include null values (blanks) within the “View Data” versions of the following reports (specific columns noted in parenthesis).  
  • Note: null values can appear in cost data for the rehab/replacement of expansion assets in the years before said expansion asset is acquired. Null values can also be introduced in data for years 21 through 30 in scenarios with a 20-year period when a user is prompted to “Enter Parameter Value.”  
  • Detailed Investment Needs for First 10 Years (1to5YrTotal, 6to10YrTotal, 1to10YrTotal)  
    • This issue also occurs in the report’s “View Report” version with the subtotals related to the expansion assets in questions. In turn, the grand total at the bottom of the report will not include the values from rows that include null values.  
  • Expenditures Forecast (TotalCostM)
    • The “View Report” version does not have end-of-row totals, instead it has bottom-of-column totals which are present and correct even when null values exist in the column.  
• The Condition Distribution Forecast report excludes assets with conditions exceeding 5.0 from the percentage calculation in the years when that happens. (See Running the Model error section for the four asset types that can exceed a condition of 5.0 when rehabbed.)
