The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority, known as Sound Transit, is proposing to extend the existing Link light rail system from Federal Way to the Tacoma Dome station in Tacoma, Washington. The proposed Project would extend approximately 8.5 miles and add four new stations. The alignment starts at the existing Link light rail 1-Line south terminus at the Federal Way downtown station, then generally runs south adjacent to Washington State Route 99 (SR 99) within the Federal Way city limits.
