FTA Outreach & Listening Session: DBE Issues & Concerns
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Office of Civil Rights hosted a virtual outreach and listening session to discuss known and common issues faced by FTA recipients and businesses that perform FTA-assisted work related to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program (49 CFR Part 26). DBEs, FTA recipients, transit vehicle manufacturers, and other interested stakeholders were invited to participate. FTA is currently reviewing the feedback obtained during the session and intends to use it to identify and understand challenges in the DBE program, and reduce barriers to participation by DBEs and interested small businesses. FTA thanks everyone for their participation, as your input is pivotal to enhancing the implementation of the overall DBE program. The virtual listening session may be accessed here.
