The City of Tucson (City) proposes to implement a bus rapid transit (BRT) service along Stone Avenue, between the Tohono T’adai Transit Center at Tucson Mall and the downtown Tucson Ronstadt Transit Center. Over 90 percent of the Project route is intended to operate in dedicated bus-only travel lanes. The project includes eight new branded vehicles offering near-level boarding at stations, as well as pedestrian and bicycle access improvements, real-time passenger information displays, transit signal upgrades with priority treatments, and enhanced safety and security features.
