Swift Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit Project Profile
The Snohomish County Public Transportation Benefit Area Corporation (Community Transit), proposes to implement bus rapid transit (BRT) along a 15-mile corridor in Snohomish County, Washington, from Everett Station to the Smokey Point Transit Center in Arlington. The approximately 21-station, north-south connection will connect at Everett Station to the Swift Blue Line BRT and other regional services such as Sound Transit express bus services, Flixbus, Amtrak intercity rail, and the Sounder commuter rail. Community Transit is considering the implementation of BRT features such as dedicated lanes, off-board fare collection, and improved stations complaint with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Project’s current estimated capital cost is $189-$199 million.
