Southeast Gateway Line Project Profile

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) proposes to construct 14.5 miles of light-rail transit service between Slauson Station south of downtown Los Angeles to the City of Artesia in southeastern Los Angeles County. The Project includes construction of nine stations (three are elevated and six are at-grade); four surface lots and one structure providing a total of 2,800 park and ride spaces; 30 at-grade street crossings; 15 elevated street crossings; six freight crossings; four freeway crossings; three river (flood control) crossings; one maintenance and storage facility; and purchase of 29 new light-rail vehicles.
