The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) proposes to implement a center-running, fixed-guideway bus rapid transit (BRT) service from the Oakland City MARTA rail station to the Greenbriar Mall. The project is planned to operate along Campbellton Road, Greenbriar Parkway SW, and Barge Road SW, and include the construction of a transit-only bridge over I-285 connecting the Greenbriar Mall station with the Barge Road Park & Ride. The project also includes the purchase of seven branded electric buses and associated electric vehicle charging infrastructure, off-board fare collection, transit signal priority at signalized intersections, a transit hub, new sidewalks, bike lanes, and streetscape improvements.
