Maintaining the nation's bus and rail systems in a State of Good Repair (SGR) is essential for delivering safe and reliable transit service to millions of daily riders and one of FTA’s highest priorities. FTA lead the nation's effort to address SGR by collaborating with industry and state and local governments to bring our public transportation infrastructure into the 21st century.
