The City of Raleigh proposes to implement a corridor-based bus rapid transit (BRT) project, the Wake BRT: Western Corridor Project (Project). It will extend approximately 12 miles between Downtown Raleigh and Downtown Cary, North Carolina. The Project will include frequent, bi-directional service, up to 19 weather-protected BRT Stations, and transit signal priority at signalized intersections. The Project includes the purchase of 10 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses.
