The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) proposes to implement modern streetcar circulator service in a loop within downtown Los Angeles, connecting the Civic Center and the historic core with the Los Angeles sports and entertainment district. The project includes eight new light rail vehicles, a maintenance and vehicle storage facility, and five traction power substations.
