There are currently 26 FTA employees on staff in our region. In addition, three FHWA staff members are co-located with FTA in our Chicago Metropolitan Office. We aim to provide prompt, courteous and quality customer service. Please feel free to contact us at any time. We look forward to helping you plan, apply, execute, and complete transit projects that enhance the quality of life in your communities.

Historical Data (2018)

In FY 2018, Region 5 awarded 247 grants and obligated $1.55 billion in federal funds to over 140 grantees. All grants were obligated in an average of only 29 calendar days after our receipt of a complete and accurate grant application. We would like to thank all of our stakeholders throughout our region for helping us obligate this large amount of federal dollars. Our prompt level of service reflects our commitment to providing the best support to all of our grantees.

As we work through FY 2019, our commitment is to continue working closely with our customers to foster open and transparent communications, and provide clear guidance to ensure the success of critical projects throughout the six states we serve.
