Mobility Management Course

The National Transit Institute (NTI) will sponsor a course on mobility management September 17-18 in Dallas, Texas. Advancing Mobility Management is designed to help build the capacity of transit professionals to implement and scale up mobility management strategies and initiatives and expose participants to promising practices in the field.
Mobility management is a strategic approach to designing and delivering transportation services that starts and ends with the customer. It has expanded beyond meeting the needs of individuals and groups (e.g., people with disabilities, older adults, low-income) by coordinating and improving human services transportation with a systems perspective in collaboration with other transportation providers. The course will benefit mobility management professionals with 1-5 years of experience in transportation or mobility related field and who play a role in implementing mobility management strategies, including: public transit agency professionals; recipients of Federal Transit Administration Enhanced Mobility of Seniors & Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) grants; human services transportation providers; planning organization professionals; Veterans Administration employees; Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) service providers and others.

FTA sponsors NTI to develop and apply innovative solutions to help meet the demands placed on the nation’s public transit systems.
