Defines terms found on NTD Reporting Forms and identifies the 2023 Database File in which they are included. Please note that this does not include terms in the 2023 Data Tables and Time Series files - each of those files includes its own data dictionary.

2021 Data Tables Zip

Data Tables organize and summarize data from the 2021 National Transit Database in a manner that is more useful for quick reference and summary analysis. Note that these are static versions of the data tables. For tables with built-in features such as binning based on urbanized area size and filtering out questionable data, please search for the individual data table from the NTD Data page (left menu bar).

2021 Database Files Zip

Zip file containing all 2021 Annual National Transit Database Files. The Database files contain data from the NTD without manipulation (other than formatting for Excel) and are therefore intended for users comfortable who may intend to perform their own analyses on the data or use the data in their own databases.
