Mark Bathrick

Acting Associate Administrator for Program Management

Mark Bathrick is the Acting Associate Administrator for FTA’s Office of Program Management. In that role, he oversees the Office of Transit Programs, the Office of Capital Project Management, and the Office of Grants Management and Guidance. Collectively, these offices administer a national program of capital and operating assistance by directing program implementation through FTA's regional offices. The office provides procedures and program guidance to assist the field staff and grant recipients in grant program administration and grant management requirements and manages FTA's Project Management Oversight and real estate programs.

In addition to his role as Acting Associate Administrator, Mr. Bathrick serves as the Director of the Office of Grants Management and Guidance which manages FTA’s electronic grant making system TrAMS, FTA’s major program and grant management circulars and guidance, and formula apportionment activities.

Mr. Bathrick has over 15 years of experience in public transportation, the last nine years with FTA.  Previously Mark was the Division Chief for Urbanized Area Programs (TPM-11), where he led a team responsible for the management of 13 formula and competitive grant programs.  Prior to joining FTA, Mark worked at the Idaho Transportation Department where he led the Public Transportation Office, overseeing the implementation of FTA’s grant programs throughout Idaho.  Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Boise State University.
