-
RTAP's third annual national conference is intended for rural and tribal transit providers, state 5311 and RTAP program managers, intercity bus operators, mobility managers, and others interested or involved in rural public transportation. The conference will feature workshops, presentations, keynote speakers, FTA updates, and roundtables with a focus on training, tools and best practices. There will also be a vendor expo and plenty of opportunities for networking and information sharing.
The conference begins with pre-conference workshops (free, but registration required) and a welcome reception. Monday, 10/30 and Tuesday, 10/31 will feature plenary sessions; breakout sessions; a vendor expo and evening reception, as well as a Masquerade at the Museum event on Halloween night at the Joslyn Art Museum. Wednesday, 11/1 will include roundtable discussions, an FTA Technical Assistance Center Town Hall, and farewell lunch.
Participating and cooperating organizations include FTA, Nebraska Department of Transportation, Nebraska Association of Transit Providers, University of Nebraska, the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center, and the National Center for Mobility Management. RTAP is one of FTA’s technical assistance centers under the Rural Transit Assistance Program (49 U.S.C. 5311(b)(3)).
