2020 Fuel and Energy
Contains data on fuel and energy use by public transportation agency, by mode and type of service.
Update 12/19/23: Version 1.1 contains updated values for diesel fuel consumed by NTD ID 50118 for Commuter Rail modes.
Update 8/2/24: Version 1.2 provides corrections to total mileage provided in "Miles Traveled by Vehicles Fueled by" section of Fuel and Energy tab for many agency modes and types of service.
2020 Vehicles
Gives the age distribution and lifetime mileage of each agency's revenue fleets, and the age distribution of service fleets, by vehicle type. Gives vehicle count by type per agency.
2020 Employees
Contains data on hours worked by public transportation employees, head counts of employees, and wage rates.
2020 Facilities and Stations
Details and summarizes public transportation agency facilities and passenger stations.
2020 Capital Expenses
Describes capital expenses for each public transportation agency, by mode and type of service and by the function of the expense.
2020 Breakdowns
Contains data on vehicle breakdowns (mechanical failures).
2019 Group Plan Summary Tool
This workbook is designed to support Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), Group Plan Sponsors, and other transit planning agencies involved in Transit Asset Management (TAM). Presents both TAM summary statistics (condition and performance) and detailed asset inventory information, as reported to FTA's National Transit Database (NTD).
2019 Data Tables
Data Tables organize and summarize data from the 2019 National Transit Database in a manner that is more useful for quick reference and summary analysis. Note that these are static versions of the data tables. For tables with built-in features such as binning based on urbanized area size and filtering out questionable data, please search for the individual data table from the NTD Data page (left menu bar).
