Adam Schildge
Acting Associate Administrator for Budget & Policy
Adam Schildge serves as the Acting Associate Administrator for the Office of Budget and Policy. In this role, he serves as FTA’s Acting Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Schildge’s responsibilities include budget and financial management, policy development, strategic planning, and performance management for the agency’s $20 billion annual program. He brings an extensive background in program and policy development, operational management, emergency relief, audit relations, risk analysis, performance management and strategic planning.
Prior to this role, Mr. Schildge held a variety of positions at FTA, including Policy Director and Chief of FTA’s Urban Programs Division. In these roles, he has led intergovernmental efforts in collaboration with USDA, DOI, HUD, and FEMA while also serving in temporary assignments at the Office of Management and Budget, the DOT Office of the Secretary’s Budget office. He has also worked in temporary roles at New York City’s Department of Urban Planning and the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council. Prior to government service, he worked in financial capital markets supporting performance and risk analysis.
Mr. Schildge received a master’s in urban planning from the City University of New York’s Hunter College, a graduate certificate in international economics from Fordham University, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Middlebury College.
