Suzanne Te Beau-Rohde

Chief Counsel

Suzanne Te Beau-Rohde is the Chief Counsel of the Federal Transit Administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Te Beau-Rohde previously worked at Lippes Mathias in Washington, D.C., as a member of the firm’s transportation practice team where she focused on counseling clients in both the public and private sectors, engaging in the development and implementation of transportation policy, legislation, and regulation; as well as advising on transportation-related legal and regulatory matters.

Before her work at Lippes Mathias, TeBeau-Rohde held senior positions in both the legislative and executive branches of the federal government, serving two secretaries of transportation and members of Congress, and served as professional staff to a member of the National Transportation Safety Board. In the private sector, she held positions with several transportation consulting and law firms, serving clients in the transportation industry.

In both her private and public positions, Rohde has successfully engaged government and industry representatives, building partnerships and coalitions and advanced transportation safety and economic initiatives through federal legislative and regulatory processes.

TeBeau-Rohde earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Michigan, and attended Johns Hopkins University for continued studies.
