Marketing Workshop Series: Step 2 - Transit Websites

This is the second of six virtual marketing workshops in 2022 geared to rural and tribal transit systems. This session will examine the focus and factors that make a transit website an effective tool for building and retaining ridership.
A transit agency’s communication with customers increasingly occurs online. Your website is likely to be a new customer’s first interaction with your transit system. It needs to clearly and quickly answer the many questions that a first time rider has, while also meeting the information needs of long-time users.
The first hour of this workshop will be a presentation by Selena Barlow of Transit Marketing LLC. During the final 30 minutes, participants will discuss their experience planning a trip on another transit agency’s website.
