Safety Research and Demonstration (SRD) Program

Details:

Notice of Funding Opportunity for Safety Research and Demonstration (SRD) Program. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of $7 Million to demonstrate and evaluate innovative technologies and safer designs to improve public transportation safety. FTA will fund projects to engage in demonstration in two thematic areas: a) collision avoidance and mitigation and b) transit worker safety protection. The SRD projects are funded under FTA’s Research, Development, Demonstration and Deployment program authority.

Mobility on Demand (MOD) Sandbox Program

Details:

Notice of Funding Opportunity for Mobility On Demand (MOD) Sandbox Demonstration Program. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of $8 Million for a new program to demonstrate and evaluate innovative approaches to integrated “Mobility on Demand” (MOD) solutions within a public transportation framework. The MOD Sandbox Demonstration Program is intended to provide a platform where integrated MOD concepts and solutions are supported and demonstrated through local partnerships in a real-world setting.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of approximately $100 million from recoveries from the Section 5309 Bus and Bus Facilities Program authorized by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient, Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA–LU), Public Law 109–59 and prior authorizations.

Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning

Details:

9/3/2014. Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA): Notice of Funding Availability for PILOT PROGRAM FOR TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT (TOD) PLANNING. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of $19.98 million in Pilot Program for TOD Planning funding to support comprehensive planning associated with new fixed guideway and core capacity improvement projects that will seek funding through FTA’s Fixed Guideway Capital Investment Grants (CIG) Program. Additional appropriations may result in additional funding for proposals submitted under this notice.

The Passenger Ferry Grant Program - 2015 NOFA

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of approximately $20 million in Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Grants program funds authorized by the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21), Public Law 112-141, July 6, 2012. This notice solicits proposals to compete for FY 2015 funding that is currently available under the Ferry program and may include additional funds made available.

Mobility Services for All Americans (MSAA) Deployment Planning

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of $795,545 in Research, Development, Demonstration, and Deployment Program, through cooperative agreements, for the deployment planning of Travel Management Coordination Centers (TMCCs) to support interoperable, coordinated human service transportation (HST) systems.

Low or No Emission Vehicle Deployment Program (LoNo Program) - 2014 NOFA

Details:

01/09/2014. Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA): Solicitation of Project Proposals for the Low or No Emission Vehicle Deployment Program (LoNo) Program. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of $24.9 million of Fiscal Year 2013 funds for the deployment of low or no emission transit buses. Of that amount, $21.6 million is available for buses and $3.3 million is available for supporting facilities and related equipment.
