The San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) has committed to achieving near zero greenhouse gas emissions in its locomotive and bus/shuttle fleet by 2030 through use of 100% renewable diesel fuel and zero-emissions bus/trolley technology. SJRRC is also committed to working with the State of California to achieve a zero-emission locomotive and bus/shuttle fleet by 2035. This Climate Action Plan (CAP) Framework is a precursor to a more complete CAP and presents the initial analysis supporting the agency’s commitment and outlines the next steps for CAP development following identification of additional funding sources.
