SJJPA Climate Action Plan Framework

The San Joaquin Joint Powers Authority (SJJPA) has committed to achieving near zero greenhouse gas emissions in its locomotive and Thruway bus fleet by 2030 through use of 100% renewable diesel fuel. SJJPA is also committed to working with the State of California to achieve a zero-emission locomotive and Thruway bus fleet by 2035. This Climate Action Plan (CAP) Framework is a precursor to a more complete CAP and presents the initial analysis supporting the agency’s commitment and outlines the next steps for CAP development following identification of additional funding sources.
