The Greater Hartford Transit District (District) has committed to FTA’s Sustainable Transit for a Healthy Planet Challenge in order to help mitigate the impacts from transportation on climate change.  The District’s Climate Action Plan will serve as a blueprint to achieve its overall goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing fuel consumption, and exploring and implementing environmentally friendly options when procuring both direct transit and transit-related support equipment for its facilities.
