Connecticut DOT Transit Climate Action Plan
The Connecticut DOT Transit Climate Action Plan covers greenhouse gas emissions from the transit divisions in Hartford, New Haven, and Stamford (HNS), which are the three largest in the transit system. The key goal outlined in this Plan is to have 30% of the HNS bus fleet electrified by 2029 and 100% by 2035. The Plan lays out high-level strategies and actions to achieve this goal and to reduce bus transit-related greenhouse gas emissions in Connecticut.
